Having grown up playing games like Age of Empires, I’ve always thought medieval armor can be pretty cool although I never thought that it could also be really creepy.  Well, when the Batman universe collides with medieval armor, it can make for one heck of a scary looking Joker!  I am seriously worried that I may have this show up in my dreams tonight and that is not something I look forward to.

This stunning (and creepy) medieval Joker armor was created by Prince Armory.  This leather Joker armor is functional and consists of a jester’s helmet with Joker mask, breastplate, drama face pauldrons, jester’s war skirt, cuisses/knees/greaves, and articulated jester shoe sabatons.  All of it appears to be very well done!  I wonder how much time went into this incredible Joker armor because it obviously required a lot of it to get this level of quality and detail.

Even if it is just leather, if I met somebody looking like this on the battlefield, you can bet I would be running the other direction!

It has been a while since I have set down and watched my way through Battlestar Galactica so I have a feeling that this weekend might involve a big BSG marathon for me but even though it has been a long time since I have watched the show, I still regularly wear one of my half dozen or so Battlestar Galactica shirts.  Well, it looks like I will be adding one more shirt to that collection thanks to this awesome shirt below that is on sale today!

The fraking awesome folks over at TeeFury are selling this cool Battlestar Galactica shirt called Colonial Fighter for just $11 today only!  This design comes from CoD Designs and I think they did a pretty good job with it!  If you are a Starbuck fan, this is definitely a must have t-shirt!

The shirt comes in black, navy or charcoal so you have some options to choose from.  Personally, while I am kind of fond of the charcoal, I think I am going to go with the black because it makes the design stand out a little more.

Whether you are a big BSG fan or just know someone who is that you need a present for, this is the shirt you need to buy!

So say we all!

Where I live, it is pretty much impossible to find somebody that doesn’t support our military.  With all of the military bases we have in Colorado, the military has a huge impact on our local economy and you will have a hard time finding somebody who doesn’t know somebody who is serving in the military so support for the troops is a big deal around here.  While ‘Support our troops’ bumper stickers are quite common, nobody ever thinks to support the Stormtroopers.  Since I think they need a little more support (perhaps it would improve their aim), I decided to post this cool t-shirt.

The awesome nerdy folks over at BustedTees are selling this Star Wars inspired Stormtrooper support our troops t-shirt for just $20.  Even if you aren’t the type that goes to conventions dressed as a Stormtrooper, the least you can do is wear this shirt to show your support for those that do!

Remember, even if a shirt like this isn’t your think (perhaps you are a bigger Star Trek fan than you are of Star Wars), I’d bet there is somebody in your life that would love a shirt like this so give it some thought when you are looking for a gift for them!

One of my favorite ways to spend a quiet evening at home is by laying in bed and watching some Star Trek (usually Deep Space Nine) and it is often the way I end my nights.  Nothing relaxes me quite as much as Star Trek.  Well, if you are like me and like to relax with some Star Trek, I think I have found an even more relaxing way for you to lounge around the house thanks to these awesome Star Trek: The Next Generation uniform robes.

The awesome Star Trek fans over at ThinkGeek have these cool Star Trek: The Next Generation uniform robes on sale for $49.99-$59.99 (Command is $60 and the others are $50 and that is an affiliate link so we get credit for referring you to them if you are awesome enough to buy one) which is 17% off of the normal price.  If you are a big TNG fan, these are the robes for you!

As much as I would love to wear this around this house, I really am more of a DS9 fan so I think I will hold out a while in hopes of a DS9 uniform robe before thinking about buying this one.

If there is one rule that I live my life by, it is to wear things that show off the things I love.  Whether it is a Doctor Who t-shirt, my God of War hat or my Call of Duty dog tags, you will never see me not sporting something I am passionate about (unless you see me in the shower in which case we have other issues to discuss).  I also recommend everybody else live by this rule as much as possible.  Not only does it let people get an idea of who you really are, but it is a fantastic way to start up conversations with complete strangers about the whatever it is you love that you both have in common.

Well, speaking of wearing things you love, if you are a Legend of Zelda fan, I have found the perfect necklace for you!

Etsy seller is selling these custom Legend of Zelda Ocarina song necklaces for just $26!  Which song is it that you get you ask?  Any one you want!  The one in the picture is the Song of Time but if there is another one you like better, you can go with it!

If you like wearing necklaces and have a love for the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, than I think this is a must have for you!

Perhaps sometime in the next week, I will start catching up on Legend of Zelda games.  I am somewhat ashamed to admit that I am I am several games behind on the Nintendo 3DS and Wii and that is something I really need to rectify.  However, until my schedule allows me time to do that, I will just appreciate some awesome Legend of Zelda cosplay like the fantastic Skyward Sword inspired Princess Zelda cosplay below!

Cosplayer Kawaii Ringo spent a month working on this awesome Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword inspired Princess Zelda cosplay.  I’d say the time was well spent as her attention to detail is quite good!  I am definitely impressed!  I would definitely be interested in knowing if that harp can actually be played?

The photography was done by LJ Decker Photography.

I really wish people dressed like this normally and not just as cosplay because it looks great and the stuff people wear as normal clothing just seems boring in comparison.

If you are a cosplay and have some great cosplay like this you would be interested in sharing with us, hit us up with the contact page linked above!

Over the years, I have seen cosplay for video games ranging from Super Mario Bros to Diablo III but in all of this time, I can’t recall having ever come across any Sonic the Hedgehog cosplay.  Of course I may have and I have just forgot about it because my memory sucks (after nearly 3000 posts on my Global Geek News site, 400 here and countless others on other sites over the past 12 years that I have written, I can’t remember everything I have posted anymore).  So, when I came across this sexy Sonic the Hedgehog cosplay, I knew I had to share it because I’m sure I’m not the only one seeing some Sonic cosplay for the first time.

This awesome and sexy Sonic the Hedgehog cosplay is being sported by cosplayer Manzinat0r and it was photographed by Greg De Stefano.

As if the cosplay wasn’t enough, the orange and brown squares, grass and rings make these pictures full of Sonic awesomeness.  This is definitely a fantastic tribute to one of my favorite video games growing up!

I would also like to go on record in saying that there is nothing hotter than a woman with blue hair because we really need more women to sport blue hair.  I put it right up there with women with pointy Vulcan/elf type ears (don’t judge me).  Anyway…

It seems like there is rarely a day goes by that I don’t find some Doctor Who shirt that I want to buy.  Judging by the fact that my stack of t-shirts which largely consists of Doctor Who themed shirts is now as tall as the ceiling in my bedroom (I’m not even kidding and my closet is already full), I have a bad habit of giving in to that temptation.  I passed the point of being able to wear any of them with any sort of frequency long ago but I just can’t stop myself.  And speaking of that temptation, it is taking every bit of self control I have not to get this awesome Doctor Who / E.T. mash-up shirt that is on sale today only!

The amazing geeks over at TeeFury are selling this awesome DW The Extraterrestrial t-shirt designed by Wirdou for just $11 today only!  If you are a fan of Doctor Who or the movie E.T. (I have to admit I have never seen it), you will love this shirt!

Its not very often that I come across Doctor Who shirts that feature Tom Baker or K-9 so if you love either or both of them, I’d just on this shirt because they don’t come along every day!

The Assassin’s Creed games are far from perfect but they are still a lot of fun to play.  However, as much as I enjoy playing them, I enjoy the cosplay that they inspire even more!  In the past, I have posted all kinds of great Assassin’s Creed related cosplay including some great Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag female Edward Kenway Cosplay, some fantastic Assassin’s Creed III Connor Kenway cosplay and some amazing Assassin’s Creed III Lady Maverick and Independent cosplay.  Well, I have found some more great female Ezio Auditore da Firenze cosplay that I am sure you guys will love!

This awesome female Ezio cosplay comes from the great girlfriend/boyfriend cosplayer/photographer team known as Artisan’s Theory.  I’d say they did a pretty good job as the cosplay looks good and the photography looks great!

Maybe its just me, but I think people should dress like this all the time.  I know if I could, I definitely would!  I need to find a costume like that since I have no skills to make one just so I can wear it all the time and be the coolest looking guy in town.

Happy New Year 2014

It is still about 15 hours away from the new year for me, but I wanted to take a moment and wish everybody a Happy New Year!

This year has been full of ups and downs for Fanboy Fashion and myself personally but hopefully 2014 will be full with nothing but ups!  So far, things are already looking pretty bright but I’m not one to count my chickens before they hatch.

So, what can you expect in the new year from Fanboy Fashion?  Well, for starters, regular posts!  Starting next week if not before (if the mood strikes me), we will be back to AT LEAST 3 posts a week (Mon-Wed-Fri schedule).  I already have a number of posts written and ready to go just to make sure things get started off smoothly.  If my personal life allows, I will even try to get back to posting five days a week.

Also, I have begun toying with a new design for Fanboy Fashion and Global Geek News, my other geek blog.  While I have always liked this current design, the developer is no longer in business and actively supporting it so I feel the need to move on.  Also, with the last major revision they did, they increased the font size bigger than I liked so I am hoping to fix that with the new design.  I don’t have an ETA on the change yet as I am still kicking around some ideas but depending on how much time I get to work on it, hopefully it will be up and running in the next month or two.

Have a Happy New Year and I will see you in 2014!
