Archives For Doctor Who

It is no secret that I am not a huge fan of our educational system and would like to see it go away and replaced with something that makes more sense in the 21st century but I applaud people who can put up with all of the bs and come out with a piece of paper letting the world know you are educated.  That is not something I have been able to do because while I love learning about anything and everything, I tend to get tired of the bs and constantly getting screwed.  Anyway…

Since it is graduation season, I thought it was fitting to post this awesome TARDIS graduation cap I saw on Facebook yesterday.  I’m not sure who Whovian is that decided to turn her graduation cap into the TARDIS but I think it looks great!  If anybody knows who she is, please let us know in the comments so we can give her credit and congratulate her on her accomplishment!

If I ever do the graduation thing again, I might have to do this with my graduation cap just so everybody knows how much I love Doctor Who because while that is normally obvious with all of the shirts I wear, my shirt would be covered up by the gown.

For as much as people seem to like them, I have just never had any desire to try on a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star sneakers.  I have seen some people make some incredible works of art on them like the Yoda Chucks I posted in the past as well as the really cool Street Fighter sneakers but I guess I just have a hard time convincing myself to change shoe brands.  Considering I order my shoes online where I really don’t have the opportunity to try other kinds like I would in a store, it makes me hesitant to try something other than my beloved New Balance.  Anyway…

Speaking of hand painted Chucks, the fantastic artist over at Bobs Made created this fantastic looking hand painted 10th and 11th Doctor Converse Chuck Taylor shoes.  Whether you are a Matt Smith fan, a David Tennant fan or just a lover of the color blue, I think you are going to love these shoes!

If they sold Doctor Who shoes like this where I get my shoes online (Zappos), then I might be willing to venture out of my comfort zone and try a different brand of shoes.  Until that happens, I guess I will be sticking with New Balance and just loving shoes like these from afar.

Having no artistic skills at all, I buy shoes that I can’t really decorate since I wouldn’t know what to do with them if I did and they would like like crap if I even tried to paint or draw something on them.  However, there are some people out there that like to buy shoes that can be easily customized because unlike me, they have the artistic skill required to draw something other than the worlds ugliest stick figures.  In this particular case, one of those people also happens to be a Doctor Who fan.

Any Doctor Who fan is sure to appreciate these hand painted VANS sneakers made to look like the TARDIS and a Dalek.  Unfortunately, I don’t know who painted these awesome shoes to give them credit so if you know who did this to these shoes, please let us know in the comments below so they can get the credit they deserve!

Speaking of hand painted Doctor Who shoes, if you love the ones below, I suggest you also check out the 10th and 11th Doctor shoes I posted a while back as well as the black and white Doctor Who shoes that I think might be my all time favorites.

In the past, I have posted a number of fantastic TARDIS clothing items but nothing like this.  A while back I posted a TARDIS dress that opened up to show you the inside of the TARDIS.  Well, if you take that idea to the next step, you get this spectacular TARDIS cosplay below!

Sadly, I’m not sure who this girl is that is sporting this very unique TARDIS cosplay which features the TARDIS control panel, a bunch of lights and a jacket that looks like the outside of the TARDIS so if you know who she is, please let us know in the comments below so we can give her credit for this awesome costume!

I’d like to travel to the center of her TARDIS!

Ok, that probably wasn’t appropriate but given this past weekend’s episode of Doctor Who, it was the most fitting joke I could come up with.

I love when people create cool mash-ups featuring various franchises beloved by geeks.  I have a ton of t-shirts that combine things like Star Wars and Donkey Kong and Doctor Who and Super Mario Bros among many others but I can always use more!  The only Star Wars and Doctor Who mash-up shirt I currently have is one where R2-D2 and C-3PO are combined with a Dalek and Cyberman and while I love that shirt, I think I like this one a little bit more!

For today only, the awesome folks at Ript Apparel are selling this super geeky May the Fez Be With You shirt for just $10!  The design which was created by ianleino is not just available as a t-shirt, but you can get it in many other forms too ranging from iPhone cases to coasters (the prices varies depending on what you want of course).

For those that love Doctor Who and Star Wars, they are going to love this design that combines the 11th Doctor in his fez with the popular line from Star Wars and a lightsaber version of a sonic screwdriver.  Being a fan of both franchises, I am definitely ordering one of these shirts!  You can’t beat that price!

Back in February I posted a great looking TARDIS ballgown that Crystal Maxwell was in the process of creating based on a design created by Anne Luise Richards.  While I thought it was great looking even as a work in progress, it is now finished and it is fantastic!

Last week, Crystal contacted me on the Fanboy Fashion Facebook page to let me know that the dress is now finished and that she had uploaded a bunch of pictures of the finished project.

Below are a few pictures of the finished TARDIS ballgown (which is beautiful) and if you would like to see more, I recommend checking out the entire gallery that she uploaded which has 25 pictures.

If she ever needs a date for the ball, I would definitely volunteer!

I don’t know about anybody else but I still haven’t decided if I really like the new look of the inside of the 11th Doctor’s TARDIS.  I was kind of partial to the old design and while I kind of like the more futuristic look it has now, I’m not sure I prefer it to the old design.  Well, if you are also a fan of the 11th Doctor’s old TARDIS design, I think I have found a skirt you are going to love!

Etsy seller NerdAlertCreations is selling this awesome Doctor Who inside the TARDIS skirt for $45.  The skirt is custom made which allows you to choose a length as long as 21″ (18″ is the default) and it is a design you won’t find anywhere else.  If you are a Doctor Who fan in search of a TARDIS skirt but don’t want one that just looks like the outside of the TARDIS which seems somewhat common these days, then I think this skirt featuring the inside of the TARDIS is for you!

Thanks to the material my shoes are made of, any real cool customizations just aren’t possible which makes me kind of sad, but I still enjoy seeing the works of art that people make out of their shoes.  In this particular case, I stumbled across some really cool hand-painted Doctor Who shoes featuring the TARDIS and the 10th and 11th Doctor.

These fantastic painted Doctor Who shoes which features the TARDIS and the 10th and 11th Doctor’s clothing was posted on Facebook by Post Pond Depression.  Their mom made them for them and I think they turned out great!  Unfortunately, I think when you get laces in these shoes, I think it will kind of ruin part of their Doctor Who charm.

I wish you could buy shoes like these somewhere because I would love to have a pair.

Where I live, we don’t have balls (the party kind) which I suspect is probably a consequence of living in a town of rather poor/cheap people.  Not that I would go to one anyway as its really not my thing and there is little I hate more than dressing up no matter how good I look when I do.  However, I could be persuaded to go to one if I had a date that was wearing a TARDIS ballgown like the one below!

Etsy seller loriann37 is selling this fantastic hooded TARDIS ballgown for $474.99.  This ballgown will be made to whatever measurements you happen to be and is made up of six pieces (front and back tie over-bust corset, aong a-line skirt w/trim, full circle mini skirt with trim, mid length add-a-bustle with trim – drawstring waist, hoodie bolero shrug, sleeveless black top w/lace).

If you are a lady that loves Doctor Who and has a ball to attend but nothing to wear, I’d say this TARDIS ballgown is for you!  If you do go to a ball in a TARDIS gown, I want to see pictures so hit me up via the contact page linked at the top.

With the return of Doctor Who later this week, I figured it now would be a great time to post some cool Doctor Who clothing.  For the TARDIS loving ladies out there interested in celebrating the return of new Doctor Who episodes, I have found a skirt that I think you are going to love!  In the past I posted a skirt that was a giant TARDIS but unlike that one, this one has a bunch of TARDIS’ and Timelord writing!

Etsy seller NerdAlertCreations is selling this awesome Doctor Who skirt with a bunch of TARDIS’ on it for just $45.  The skirt measures 18″ in length (21″ possible) and fits from small to extra-large.  If you are looking to catch the eye of that special Whovian in your life, wearing this is sure to do that!

If you do get this skirt, be sure to send us pictures of you wearing it!  We would love to see!
